A tale of two Open Enrollments!
Medicare Open Enrollment Ends on December 7th
Medicare is a public health insurance program for those over 65 and people with a qualifying disability. Medicare Open Enrollment is your annual opportunity to review your current plan and coverage options. December 7th is the last day to change how you get your Medicare coverage (Original Medicare or a Medicare Advantage Plan), switch Medicare Advantage Plans (with or without drug coverage), or join, switch, or drop a Medicare drug plan.

Health Insurance Marketplace Open Enrollment
Ends on December 15th
Montana’s Health Insurance Marketplace is located at www.Healthcare.gov. Open Enrollment is your annual opportunity to apply or shop around for a plan. With one application, see if you qualify for Montana Medicaid, Healthy Montana Kids, or a private plan sold through the Health Insurance Marketplace. The Marketplace is the only place to get access to financial help to make your coverage more affordable. If you enroll by December 15th, your coverage begins on January 1st.
After December 15th, you’ll need a Special Enrollment Period (SEP) to enroll in coverage. Qualifying life changes include loss of employer coverage, marriage, the birth of a child, and more. Enrolled members of Federally Recognized Tribes can enroll anytime throughout the year – learn more.
In these uncertain times, don’t go without health insurance coverage! Protect yourself and your family today. Free, local enrollment help is available. Click here to search for local help or call the Cover Montana Help Line at (844) 682-6837.
